"Upon arrival I was met with nice friendly staff. I had my wedding reception here so I already knew the place was top notch. Brilliant hotel, throughly recommend. If I could pick one issue is that the wifi wasn’t the best and didn’t really work. "

"Spacious room - staff very helpful- beautiful surroundings - lovely breakfast - asked to extend room for 1 hour and no quibble. Even an electric charge point - sadly did not get to experience the spa. Will definitely stay again "

"We had an amazing 1 night stay. We had parked up the road just off high street (24 hour car park) as parking limited (permit only outside) at the pub but was easy to find car park and walk down to the pub was a couple of minutes. When we arrived in the pub we were welcomed by Babs and Summer. Summer showed us to our room, you have to go through a staff only area and as it is a pub the ceilings were low but we liked that as it makes the stay different. We were told all about the late night...

" We found the Victory Inn at Mersea to be very comfortable and the service was brilliant. Staff were especially helpful and the position was great for my 6 year old grandson as he spent lots of time in the play area and we could keep our eye on him. We will definitely be booking again for sometime in the summer for a longer stay."

"We booked a Double Ensuite Room. On arrival our room was the family room. Wow what a massive room. It had 3 beds. Lovely fresh looking room, so clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower had great pressure and water was hot. We also booked a twin room. This too was lovely and clean. Had a kettle, teas and coffees for use, as did the Double Room. "I have often stayed at this hotel when travelling for business in the area and it never disappoints. The service, staff, ambience, excellent food and easy car parking, makes it a must stay. Always a genuine welcome and the pwners / staff happy to chat whilst you're there. Fantastic breakfast and a great dinner menu, congrats to the chef for thier consistent wonderful, tasty food."
