The property was perfect for our large family group. Plenty of space to relax and play. The separate sleeping wings of the house were especially suited to our needs. The pool and outdoor seating area were fabulous. The kitchen and BBQ area were set out well and easy to use. Communication with the host and contact once we arrived was friendly and full of information. We will definitely be going back for another stay.

The house was so welcoming, spacious and had absolutely everything we needed and more for our girls weekend away. 7 of us enjoyed every minute. Relaxing by the pool on the outdoor deck was so relaxing.

From check in to check out such a seamless process. Don't let the brick veneer fool you as it was well kept, homely and warm. It was a perfect place to share as a group with two separate living areas, a well stocked kitchen, good warm bedding and The place was super clean with all the add-ons including board games, ping pong table, pantry items and firewood. We would definitely come back and would work for a large group and still be very comfortable.Thanks for having us!

Wonderful property for a big family gathering. Too cold for the pool but a lovely bbq and fire pit. Very well presented and clean and they had everything you could want from kids games, dvd’s, a fully stocked kitchen with all utensils, pots, plates, glasses and cutlery you could want.Only guests with Telstra got phone reception but it was lovely to escape from being on ones phone all weekend. Highly recommend staying here!

We (9 girlfriends from uni days - very long standing friendships) recently stayed at Eighteen Mile Homestead for our annual catch up and everyone said how great the accommodation was. The house is big, really well laid out for groups and was really clean and well cared for. Everything we needed (outdoor fire pit), well located kitchen close to eating area so the cooks could still chat and be close to the action and a great sunken lounge for games and laughs was there. We didn't use the pool (winter) but the outdoor deck in them morning sun was fabulous. Thanks Robyn for providing such a great home for us and we are pretty sure we'll be back (the locals at the Rathdowny Pub said we were welcome next year)!

Seventieth birthday long weekend

A couple, their adult children and spouses and four grandchildren spent a wonderful long weekend.The very well-equipped and spacious house made it easy for the ten of us to enjoy being together and apart in small groups.We cooked a number of meals including a three-course birthday roast dinner. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the homestead. The children enjoyed running around outside playing games and swimming in the pool. We all enjoyed the firepit and sitting on the deck watching the wildlife.

A wonderfully relaxing home

The home was spacious and clean with a gorgeous outlook. A perfect place to connect for a group of 12 people. The pool was great and kept us mostly occupied but we did wish there was a pub or market close by. We appreciated the easy check in, communication and cleanliness of the home.

Beautiful scenic rim

We had our family Christmas weekend here at 18mile Homestead. It is sooooo good. It has everything ! The kids did not get out of the beautiful pool all weekend. We had a fire pit both nites even though the weather was very warm. So fun roasting marshmallows. A clean running creek was a great adventure for us all through the day. The house has everything too - you do not want for anything.

Darlington Visit

Eighteen Mile Homestead was a total home away from home. Spacious and comfortable with every convenience we could wish for. The beauty of the district, complete with all the country sounds of birds and cattle, plus no phones or internet, made it a wonderful retreat from the busy city.
