"It was a lovely stay, just one night before a day at bike park wales. I was told to leave the bike in the hall way and it was fine there. Parking was tight with a bike rack on so i dropped it to get the car over as far as i could. The room was beautifully decorated, bed comfy, shower amazing and the whole place was quiet. "

"Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking. We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. I was able watched Netflix on my ipad and all the football matches I wanted to watch. Moyra (the owner), is a lovely friendly lady, as her staff. Breakfast was fabulous,...

"My accommodation at James's Place was perfect for my needs. Modern and stylish design. Fresh and clean throughout. Nice touches such as Welsh cakes and milk on arrival. Great information shared about the local area. Would highly recommend 10/10"

"Booked it same day, the room was on the 4th floor and as it was during the heatwave, was a bit warm, they did provide us with couple of fans that helped. It was a lovely room with a sofa, TV and vanity table. A nice view of trees and sunset. It was clean everywhere. "

"Sited in the Beacons in its own grounds, location is just idilic. Plenty of parking with easy access and a warm, friendly welcome on entering reception you do feel like you are privileged just being there. Rooms are large, well appointed and clean. Arriving just after lunch we had a very generous and delicious bar meal and drinks to tide us over to the evening meal booked. "This hotel was really easy to get to and only a 15 minute walk to the train station that can take you straight into Cardiff. All the staff were welcoming and lovely and the room was clean and the bed was comfy. "

"The reception staff went over and above to be helpful. The rooms were excellent and it's the best night's sleep I've ever had. Breakfast was amazing too, with all tastes catered for. But the welcome we received from the lovely receptionist made it for me, a credir to the hotel."

"Lovely studio, but 2 things to address: 1 - the shower is not powerful when the heat is turned up. 2- The bed is 2 singles joined together, it's on wheels, any movement and the bed just slides across the floor, maybe change the wheels to locking wheels, simple fix But I'd definitely stay again, lovely little studio."

"The property was a calm, inviting base with fantastic spa facilities and mouth watering menus, even on my first night when the restaurant wasn’t open but ate in the comfortable bar area. My bedroom was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated with everything you would need in a bedroom/ensuite. "
