"Ww had a lovely, relaxing time at bear pause cabin! Amenities are nice! Very quiet area for relaxing and giving yourself much needed peace of mind from everyday stress. The weather wasn't the best when we were there, but we still got in some fishing time and walks on trails. Also went to different small towns for day trips and went to museums, parks and antique shops! C.J. was wonderful and helpful with our stay at bear pause cabin!"

"We were greeted on arrival by the host, who was very accommodating throughout our stay. The house was inviting, comfortable and equipped with anything we needed. We tried several of the recommended eateries, and enjoyed each of them! Great place to stay if you’re looking for a house by the lake!"

"James (the host) was very friendly and attentive. The location of the house was breathtaking. Short drive to the stores and casino (which we enjoyed) Would definitely recommend to family and friends.The only disappointment was that huge tub in the master bathroom is not a whirlpool/jacuzzi tub. It is just a huge tub."

"The owner-couple have restored and maintained this beautiful historical mansion, a part of Scranton's once-central role in the economy of the North-East, to create a perfect venue for group gatherings. "The place was absolutely clean everything was on point . We had a nice staying the males had such a great time in the games room and there was were they spend most of the time "

"We had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and comfy! The WiFi was out and a technician was supposed to come out Saturday but never showed. The caretaker kept trying to give us passwords to try but they didn’t work. Out hotspots worked well that we could still watch movies but hopefully this is fixed shortly. There was no weird smell, it smelled like a log cabin and wood to me. There was not an electric fireplace but a real one which worked great but per my husband the flue has to be shut...

"We loved our stay at the Lakehouse! It had everything we needed for our winter ski break, including all the general kitchen utensils and herbs to prep our meals! Regina was a great host - easy to communicate and accommodating. We recommend! "

"The house was super clean, and decorated so beautifully! Everything was explained thoroughly by the owners. Out of all the vacation houses we rented before, Matt’s house was the cleanest, even to the dishes. The views from the huge living room windows are absolutely stunning. It was raining/snowing when we stayed but we got to enjoy the house! The heating works great, my family stayed in the lower level but it was very warm. We hope to come back in the summertime! Thank you Matt & Wendy!"
