"We were greeted by host as soon as well drove in. The place was clean, smelled clean. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds. Very close to Foxwoods. The bed was great, comfy. Definitely will be back."

"A nice, quiet hotel that is only a 4 minute drive to all the action at Foxwoods. Also, housekeeping was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back. "

"Had a great time, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Prime restaurant breakfast was very good, and dinner extremely good. Other restaurants close by 10 others other open a late and others were not open because of the date of the week. but that is understandable because of the amount of people. Had a great time also in the casino many different machines lots of options. Overall a great place to go and have a great simple enjoyable time."

"We were a group of 4 and everyone had the same experience. It was fabulous. The staff and I mean every person working there was pleasant attentive courteous and accommodating. We had breakfast lunch and dinner every meal was delicious fresh and a great selection. The spa was wonderful so many options. It was a great overnight stay. We will definitely be back. "

"It was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. "

"The staff was so nice and helpful! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely. You can tell from some of the posted warnings and oddly soft spots in hallway and room floors that they have had a good bit of bathtub overflow in the past that required repairs, but it doesn't affect your stay. It should be noted that they seem to focus amenities Friday thru Sunday because of local attractions, so if you stay on a week night the food options are more limited."
