"This place is awesome, not my first stay, only reason i gave 1 star for cleanliness was totally not due to the host!!! Severe storms had came through shortly before our arrival, leaving the road to property inaccessible, and no power at the home. Therefore the cleaning crew could not get to addressing the issues from prior guests in a timely manner. BUT....the host got them there asap, and the cleaning crew was awesome, sympathetic, and did a wonderful job!! Like i said, not my first time...

"First of all, everything in the ad was accurate. We met the hosts and they were cordial and helpful. The house was very clean and organized. My wife loved swinging on the front porch. We are already planning a return trip."

"We stayed three nights for a wine-tasting getaway and a trip to Monticello. Everything is close by, the wineries and Monticello. The lovely little town of Scotsville has wonderful restaurants and a terrific coffeeshop/bakery with muffins, scones and delicious quiche. The farm is wonderful with dogs and cattle and a firepit! The living room is quite comfortable for late night chats and the kitchen is fully functional! What a nice time! The hosts are terrific and friendly and willing to help steer...

"The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. "We walked to this property as a stop over as we traveled up north after picking up our son from college. We needed a place that was quiet, restful, and beautiful. This place was absolutely perfect. It has stunning views. Check in was very easy. And our host was very responsive."

"We booked this for a girls weekend and it didn’t disappoint. The five bedrooms have a bath attached which made it very convenient . The view was beautiful, the fire pit was absolutely relaxing. "

"We stayed for a week during spring time, dogwoods bloomed and so was rhododendron and azelias, iy was a piece of heaven. It was nice and comfortable for the two of us. Old time charm and updated fitures that are a necessity. Neighborhood is super quite, which was important after a day of work. Allison was very helpful, always promptly answered any questionsthat we had. Snack bar items and everything that you might need for tea or coffee was also a nice bonus. "

"Stayed two nights while attending weddings in the area. A very unique and enjoyable stay. The trail down to the treehouse results in a quiet and secluded space - surrounded by forest and the sounds of birds. As mentioned in the listing, the path from the parking to the treehouse is a somewhat steep wooded trail, and there is a ladder up to the loft bedroom - so this would not be great for those with mobility issues. But for us, these things enhanced our stay, and we would definitely return. ...
