"This was a wonderful place to stay. Although it is off-grid it does have a mini fridge, A/C and a normal toilet (the toilet is located in it's own building attached to the main bedroom but is private and not inconvenient at all). The VRBO is on the owners land but is still secluded and very peaceful. We did not see anyone else while we were there and it definitely felt like we had the place to ourselves.At night we watched the fireflies and the the stars. Such a perfect spot to unwind. "The cabin felt new. It was clean, check in was a breeze, and the owner was very responsive. It is located off the beaten path in a quiet area, but is in close proximity to Boone, downtown West Jefferson, and North Wilkesboro.
