"Booked this stay for my husband Birthday. Wanted to make sure he enjoyed himself as well as me. I spent over $800 for the corner room, check in is at 4pm and we arrived about 430ish. Got to the room and the Amenities I purchased wasn’t there which was $100(they stated it would be at 4pm) which is why I want to arrive later. I noticed that the bed sheets were ripped, small stains on the couch in front of bed and the seat in the corner by the window that creeped me out. So we left and via Hilton...

"First off it was very unprofessional when I arrived after making a reservation beforehand just to arrive with my bags and they handed me a walk letter and told me to check my email because they were over booked and gave my room away. Then they offered to send me to another Hotel way away from the Pier which is the reason I had chosen the Wade hotel in the first place. And they had sent me a email 3 hours before my arrival if I had known they gave my room away I could of just stayed home instead...

They gave me a room with no refrigerator or microwave on top of the bar
Toilet would run. You had to turn off it's water source to make it stop.

"I’m giving this place one star only because the location is excellent. Otherwise, I would not recommend staying here.
First, our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Second, the water pressure in the bathroom was terrible—the water was barely coming out, almost drop by drop.

"She's an old girl but impeccably maintained. Beautiful room with a view of the lake and Navy Pier fireworks.
