"Booked this stay for my husband Birthday. Wanted to make sure he enjoyed himself as well as me. I spent over $800 for the corner room, check in is at 4pm and we arrived about 430ish. Got to the room and the Amenities I purchased wasn’t there which was $100(they stated it would be at 4pm) which is why I want to arrive later. I noticed that the bed sheets were ripped, small stains on the couch in front of bed and the seat in the corner by the window that creeped me out. So we left and via Hilton...

"Great location, close to all the attractions, great Riverview, the hotel room showed a little wear, and tear and elevators were down for our entire stay; we had asked for a high floor, but would’ve gladly taken a floor below, 11th which had two working elevators than having to have wait repetitively, sometimes unreasonable amount of time to just get out without utilizing the stairs. My Fiancé had injured his leg recently so walking down 19 flights was not an option. Also, the Nespresso machine...

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Londonhouse! It’s in a perfect location and walking distance to many CTA bus stops, which helped immensely with us being able to get around! Despite being in a heavy traffic area, there were no noise disturbances. The room and bathroom were super clean as well! Will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Chicago!"

"Stunning location, but the experience left much to be desired. The staff, while very friendly, were constrained by policies that made the stay quite inconvenient. In my room, I found a little hair on the bathroom floor, the dirty sock of a previous guest in the closet, and all the trash cans were unlined. They have a restaurant downstairs but you can't order to go. You have to sit or order room service. I just found it to be less than a 5-star experience."

"She's an old girl but impeccably maintained. Beautiful room with a view of the lake and Navy Pier fireworks.
The only opportunity for improvement would be more towels and washcloths from the outset. Staff were quick to correct though when we asked for more."

"I have enjoyed many stays at the Palmer House and I will continue to stay there when I visit Chicago. However, beware that they have started to charge a $25 per day resort fee of which I was not aware. They tell you that it gives you discounts for various amenities and at the restaurants but if you don’t visit those places, you’ve basically paid $25 more per night for nothing. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean, quiet, and the location can’t be beat."
