"Staff was friendly. Room was clean! Dirt cheap for downtown San Francisco… cheap $30 covered parking. Walking distance to Concert and show venues. 20 min Uber ($10 depending on time and date) to the Chase center. If you’re expecting the Ritz, look elsewhere. If you understand the area you just booked the hotel, the price, parking… then this place is a gem. I was with my daughter and her two friends ages 17 to19. "A charming vintage property with polite and helpful staff. Don’t come here if you all the bells and whistles of a corporate chain; come here if you want to go back in time 100 years and bathe in a claw foot tub and show your kids what a pay phone looks like. Don’t worry, sheets are new and clean, towels are replaced daily, and it’s a comfortable stay. That said, San Francisco has a large unhoused population, and this neighborhood isn’t immune."
