" Perfect place for my daughter sleepover birthday. The pictures online didn't do any justice. The home was peaceful, and location was close to the park, and stores. Communication was wonderful between me and the host. Check in and check out was simple and easy. Will definitely be back"

"Captain Ron is absolutely the most wonderful host. It is an older boat with a retro 70s style! That is where the charm is for me! Any issues with being an older boat are way out-weighed by the charm of the boat, the beautiful natural area and a wonderful and interesting host! Sitting on the front of that boat, looking out across the water, the rest of the world melts away! I would say if you are a larger sized person, you would have difficulty getting up and down the stairs to the different...

"Great spot if you're visiting the area and want to be a little outside of the city but still close by. In the summer, it gets a bit hot upstairs and the doors to those rooms are very narrow, but otherwise a great and comfy house! "

"The house is a three bedroom fully finished home. Two bedrooms upstairs, and a spacious primary suite at the bottom level with a half bath (sink toilet no shower). Main bathroom is upstairs. Backyard is great for kids, it has a playground and corn hole. My only minor complaint is that the kitchen sink was difficult to set to cold, and I love to drink ice cold water. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends in the area, 9/10 would stay again "

"Very quiet, although we were initially and then sporadically met with the sound of gunshots during our stay. But the house was well sound proofed, so we weren't bothered while we were inside. The porch was fantastic, and the lake was great for swimming. "

"Great spot one of the nicest spots I’ve stayed in. 20 minutes from Richmond great restaurants in the area. Super clean right near the river James. If we ever go back to that area again, I will definitely look to stay at this house."

"Karla was a great host. Always super responsive to our questions. The house is all brand new inside and impeccably clean, well stocked and very comfortable!! I would recommend this house to any family or group. We would definitely stay there again. Cher W. "

"This is a great, well appointed property in an easy to access location. The home was clean and neat, though we’d recommend fewer air fresheners as those aggravated some allergies. The front porch is great for morning coffee, and the quaint backyard was a lovely place for dinner. The home has everything you need; we’ll definitely consider staying again if we are in the area!"

"We were longtime residents of RVA and relocated and now come back 3-4 times a year to visit friends and family. This is the best short term rental that we have come across. Photos on website were very accurate to what we found in the house, clean, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and a great location for our needs. (Our old house is less than a mile away) This will be our go to spot for future trips."

"We only stayed as a brief overnight stay. The little apt was perfect for what we needed. The horse farm property is absolutely gorgeous and I wish I could have looked around more."

"The house was very comforting, neighbors were very friendly!! 10/10 would definitely come back here!!"

"This home walking distance to hip breweries and eateries was cute and spotless. It had private back parking and entry, very nice. We were in town to visit friends and were excited to find a place in the same area instead of driving from downtown Richmond. Host was very responsive. It was on a main road but still it was quiet at night. We would certainly choose this again if we return."

"Everything was accurate with the listing. The only thing that was an issue was parking for three cars forced us into the neighbors area on the street since the drive way was inconvenient and off a main road. The yard gate was loose and off centered which was solved by us wrapping rope to prevent our dogs from leaving but may be an issue for less prepared individuals."
