"The cabin was just as described. It was super clean, well equipped, and very close to the river. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here."

"This place is peaceful and secluded the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept it comfortable you have everything you need to heat up food or keep it cold the view of the river is great and we enjoyed setting on the porch and watching the river and deers that walk right through the yard! The only things I may would change is the chairs on the porch. There is a fire pit also across the road but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it because of rain. "

"Perfect place to stay if you love sitting outside and listening to nature. The propert was clean and comfortable. Easy distance to travel to Gettysburg or DC (we did both.) Overall, as a family of 4, we would love to return if we ever make it back this direction. "

"Our weekend cabin stay was wonderful. The safe neighborhood was quite and peaceful. Its location near nature and the city was just perfect. The cozy cabin was clean and comfy. We loved Gambrill State Park and downtown Frederick didn't disappoint as well."

"Location, location, location! Convenient, clean, cozy, well-equipped, wonderful view from a very comfortable porch.Great hospitality by the owners - a nice welcome, juices, water, coffee, and delicious scones."

"Love this place! Clean, off the road a little, quiet area. She definitely made a smaller house feel like there’s a bit of room! Comfy king bed in one room (the other room had a queen bed which my son slept on). Nice size comfortable couch for the living room. "

"We're loved the layout of the house and the screened in porch! So isolated and quiet! Access to the towpath was wonderful! Definitely a place we would visit again!!!"

"We had a great time at the Misty Mountain Lodge for a weekend getaway. Around 25 minutes from Gettysburg and easy access to hiking trails we had a blast! "

"Beautiful property, as advertised, and stocked well with the extras. The whole family enjoyed the stay. So much to do around that we didn't get to do and we will likely be back to this rental again! Definitely recommend for a family or group trip."

"Loved the view off of the deck...just beautiful! Our girls enjoyed canoeing, swimming, and fishing (sunfish, bass & perch). The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Location is close to Gettysburg (10-15 min) and there's a nearby grocery store for shopping. Excellent place to get away on a family vacation, especially if you love the beauty of the outdoors! "

"This is a wonderful modified log cabin house in Sharpsburg Maryland. Main floor has compact kitchen, living, dining room and full bath. Ground level is a very cosy living room/den with a fireplace. Upstairs is a comfy bedroom with half bath and an outside room with a daybed. Nicely antiquey furnishings, plenty of games, books, pamphlets, dog toys (!), baby gate (!). Excellent supply of good coffee. (Critical).We were here to see two plays at the Sheperdstown (WVa) contemporary theater...
