Zoo House Chester - 400m from the Lions!

If you’re planning to visit Chester Zoo, this is the home for you! From the front step it is only a 5 minute and 30 second walk to the zoo entrance (I know because I timed it). You can even hear the lions roaring and the monkeys grunting from the house!

Comfortable & spacious accommodation for up to 8 travellers with 1 King Size Bed, 1 Double Bed, Bunk Beds & a Sofa Bed (bedding & towels provided).

The space

This spacious and newly refurbished 3 bedroom house can sleep 8 people comfortably and is the perfect retreat for families.

The house has been kitted out with Children in mind and includes a high chair, travel cot, toys, bunk beds, DVD's and more! All the bedrooms have recently been decorated along with a brand new bathroom, downstairs toilet facilities and kitchen (the full bathroom has a shower/bath combo).

Games and toys are available for guests to enjoy during their stay. There is also a smart TV hooked up to a DVD player with lots of children's DVD's.

Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer together with all the utensils / pans you'll need. Tea & Coffee making facilities are provided.

Bathroom with over shower, large towels and floor mats. Hair Dryer, Iron & Ironing board, Broadband provided throughout the property. FREE private parking for up to 3 cars. Bedding/Towels included.

Guest access

You have access to the entire house and there is a driveway with private parking for up to 3 cars.

To make check in as smooth as possible, Key collection is via a key-safe - further details will be sent to you upon booking.

Also enjoy some outdoors time at the back of the house, which is perfect for listening to the animals (yes it’s that close), eating a meal, or enjoying the beautiful summer weather with a game of chess.

Interaction with guests

My aim is to leave you alone during your stay - however If you need any help or advice on Chester during your stay I’d be happy to help, my contact details are on the House Manual. I also live locally and have a good knowledge of the area.

All bedding, towels and floor mats are provided for your stay. This will be based on the number of guests specified during the booking stage.

Very disappointed

The overall aspect of the property was misleading, the property wasn't of a standard that I would expect from a Vrbo property or any rental property, the cleanliness was far from acceptable, massive cobwebs in a few rooms, stains on carpets, rugs that we really a bad trip hazards, the one at the top of the stairs which we moved, sofa bed not fit for purpose, stains on bedding, dishwasher didn't clean properly, no welcome pack, lights in the small bedroom wasn't working, mold and grime build up in the bathroom and a poor finish, curtains hanging off... The list is endless.

Lovely Stay!

We came here for the weekend for my little ones third birthday to take him to the zoo! The house was lovely, clean and homey. We all (family of four) had a brilliant time, and there’s toys and lots of dvds for the little ones. Brilliant property!

Great property in a good location

The property was quite big and had everything we needed including smart tv as a must for the teenagers. Close to train station for a day trip (or two) to Liverpool although Chester is also really good for shopping too. Recommend this property!

Birthday celebration!!

Stayed with family for my Mums 80th birthday, ideal situation for zoo only 20 mins walk to main entrance. House spacious, clean and fully equipped, large garden with plenty of seating and large table which was ideal for our party of 7 aged from 7 to 80!! Excellent email communication with/from owner William would highly recommend and will definately stay again...Thanks

Ideally placed for a visit to Chester Zoo. Within five minutes drive of local shops for milk, bread and other essentials; also an Indian take-away. This meant that we didn't (have to) take any food items ourselves. Could accommodate a large(ish) family get-together. Could book just for one night (a Saturday). Plenty of hot water for showers in the morning. Can't recollect anything we would suggest should be changed.

Visit to the Zoo

Stayed with family. It was an ideal location for visiting Chester zoo on foot. Property clean, spacious and well equipped. Very good communication with the owner who answered queries by e-mail within minutes. Clear arrival and departure information. I would definitely use this property again as well as recommend to others. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
