Wine tasting was also unavailable. I can anticipate this to be a great place in high season, but lack of facilities during low season make this an expensive stay without the required luxury."

The apartment is also close enough to the train station; the walk from the station to the apartment was very pleasant, taking only about 15 minutes downhill. During our stay, a storm caused the hotel's air conditioning to stop working. While I understand that the weather was outside the hotel's control, the way the situation was handled was not. "Extremely helpful, polite and friendly staff. We arrived an hour early for check in but was able to sit out on the veranda and order drinks from the bar. Breakfast was delicious and covered everything we could have wanted. The room while not modern is in keeping with the style of the hotel and works nicely. Really nice hotel if we come back to Sirmione we we definitely be booking to stay again."
