"Absolutely beautiful property. We stood in the Smithsonian room. Absolutely gorgeous view of the volcano. Room as described. Our only regret was not reserving a room with mini fridge. No AC as described but it was not needed. Everyone was absolutely attentive and always ready to answer questions. We ate most of our meals in the restaurant preferring to stay nearby to relax. Yes the road is rough for the first mile entering the property but well worth the ride! We didn’t want to leave! We hope to...

"Enjoyed our stay here! Lots to do near this hotel. The little cafe next to the pool has great lattes and cappuccinos. The breakfast was okay. We enjoyed our dinner at one of the offered restaurants near the gravel area with the fire pits. The staff were friendly and welcoming. "

"This property is just up the hill from the Fortuna Waterfall! We were able to walk down and back up. It is a steep hill if you are unable to walk hills it would be better to drive. We stayed in villa 17 which is the furthest away villa! It’s huge and gorgeous! Has a great view from both balconies! It is a steep walk up and down to get to the pool and reception desk. If you are older I would suggest a closer villa. We enjoyed the walk though! They are remodeling right now so we had to eat...

"I would totally recommend staying here! Very clean, beautiful property, very spacious rooms. Amazing volcano view. A small common area with microwave, water boiler, etc. Small but clean pool. Very good soda just around the corner. Breakfast is in another hotel, but was okay."

"The property is just a 2 minute drive from La fortuna its in an excellent location that offers both peace and quiet as well as access to great restaurants and activities. The on site amenities are excellent including the restaurant. The hotel staff is attentive, helpful and very responsive. Id recommend Casa Del Rio to any couple of family in La Fortuna! Cant recommend highly enough! -Tyler and Breanna"

"Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!"

"This place was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the back patio with table and mini kitchen. It was beautiful to sit and eat breakfast on the patio watching the hummingbirds in the flowers. The staff was helpful and friendly. They helped us book a couple excursions as well."
