Centre d'Art Públic de St. Thomas-Elgin

Rooms was nice and clean and Air conditioner was working perfect, Staff were very kind and friendly, Breakfast was quite enough for a 3 star hotel. The reasons I didn't give a complete five star were as below: 1- The hotel was on the renovation, and on the nearby floors, the sound of destruction was unbearable (9 am - 6pm) 2- A large number of homeless people and drug addicts were seen around the hotel building. It is worth noting that after I complained about the loud noise from the renovation work, I was immediately provided with a larger room on a floor further away from the construction area—a gesture that was truly generous and commendable.

Was pleasantly surprised by the room we rented. Room number 1. Had a private washroom, fridge everything we needed for a 2 night stay at the beach. The bed could be a queen to give 2 adults a little more room. We were grateful for the air conditioner and coffee machine. They supplied a couple bottles of water, some granola bars which help when heading to the beach. Would be nice to have a patio door to go outside from the room but it was just a short distance to front door. The common area was pleasant but very stuffy and and damp but was told they just cleaned up after flooding so I'm sure a dehumidifier will solve the issue. Close to beach, right beside a great restaurant, parking right out front. Would stay again in room 1. The gentleman who helped us get to our room was pleasant and very helpful. Everyone was friendly.

I like the staff communication, especially a lady from Afghanistan assisting with guest having their breakfast. The rooms are also of reasonable sizes, neat and provide good ambience. Though the parking is underground, but it provides good ample parking space in a downtown area.
