"House and property were awesome! Little hard to find first time in the dark and raining but Brittany talked us right to it. Bring your own hangers. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the wildlife in and around the lake."

"Me and a couple buddies were looking for a place to stay close to Forbes Lake for a small club tournament. This is a great place to stay, clean, comfortable and extremely secluded and secure. Lots of deer and probably plenty of bluegill in the pond out back. Nice grill as well. Would definitely stay again. "

"We had a wonderful stay here, enjoying coffee in the morning on the decks with the sunrise. Quiet picturesque country location with beautiful trees and landscaping. The birdwatching was top notch and you felt completely immersed in nature the entire stay. We appreciated how clean and updated the home was along with the personal touches of snacks and bottled water being provided. Great vacation spot and we would love to come stay again. "

"The property was cozy and charming! It was perfect for our family of three but would easily work for two couples as well. The owners went above and beyond to add thoughtful and helpful touches. Checking in and checking out was super easy and expectations were clearly communicated. We’d happily stay here again, if we’re in the area. "

"Love this house! Perfect for family. Stayed and went in to St. Louis about 45 minutes from downtown STL. A few minutes walk from a park, Dairy King, PJ’s and Wally’s. "

"Wr had a wonderful time. The house was so spacious we could spread out and not feel like we were piled on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and baths were clean and comfortable. We were close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small town, but we spent a day in St. Louis, only an hour or so away. And the eclipse, what a bonus! We had a great family trip, and the house size and location was a big part of our great...

"Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room."
