The minestrone soup, lasagna and aubergine Parm are so fresh and refreshing, even though I'm used to the great Italian restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's nice to have a comforting dinner overlooking the lake, after a day of sight seeing, and finishing with home made apple cake and ice cream or rum with chocolate."

"The hotel was overall amazing. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the property is very well maintained. There is some light wear in the main areas and bathroom, but nothing that takes away from the experience. It still feels very nice, not dated at all, and hits all the important notes. It is also close to everything, making it a very convenient and enjoyable stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Loved the location."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Royal however we do have to unfortunately mention the male bar staff that was very unhelpful when we asked for a drinks around 5.30 we were asked to wait as he was preparing bar snacks for 7 o’clock, while he then asked what we wanted he was unwilling to give us the 2 glasses of wine, and said we could buy the bottle which we declined. The reception, cleaning, breakfast staff were all very helpful."

"The property location was great and the room and breakfast were good. The only issues were that the air conditioning wasn’t working throughout the hotel and we weren’t made aware of this. It was only when we got to the room and tried it that we found this out. We were given a fan to use but the room was very hot. Also, the pool wasn’t operational but again we weren’t made aware of that."
