"We had a great 3 nights in a lovely spacious room with nice decor & and outdoor area. We walked into the town (15 minutes) each morning for coffee. Our only complaint would be that servicing the room didn’t seem to include any cleaning or making of the bed, just fresh towels if requested. This was despite having a service request sign to hang on the door. It seemed strange to us & compared to other motels we've stayed at."

"I didn't like the fact that there were holes in the bottom of the wall between the bathroom and the bedside cabinet. I was worried that mice or cockroaches might come through! (They didn't). The fan heater in the top of the wardrobe didn't work. However, I discovered the other heater, and the heat pump, so it didn't matter. Maybe a plank of wood could be attached to the bottom of the wall over the holes? And some putty in the holes further up? And the broken heater could be taken out of the...

"This is the best place to stay in Queenstown! My third stay here and it did not disappoint. The turndown service was just perfect! The little treats left on the bed were a lovely touch. The juice and treats in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon was just amazing. I will be returning next month and can’t wait. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you very much"

"Chalet Queenstown is a real gem. I would rate this B&B an 11 out of 10! Super clean and the beds super comfortable. The rooms have all the necessary amenities (including a view of Lake Wakatipu). The staff is super friendly and the made to order breakfast was AMAZING. The location is excellent. Less than a 15 minute walk to the town center and a couple minute walk to the bus stop. I would definitely stay here again. "

However, if you’re visiting for the famous lake and mountain views, I would suggest looking elsewhere, as many rooms overlook nearby buildings and parking areas.
