Before arriving we were called and told that they had to move our room to the carriage house due to a septic issue with the main manor. The carriage house is a smaller building on the property. Upon arriving it felt a bit run down overall. We entered our room on the second floor of the carriage house. It was small but quaint and what we needed. "The updated signs will be helpful when they are finished to know where things are, but the staff was super polite and helpful. Our family room was very nice and clean and easy to get to with parking right by the room. Our only negative experience was out of the property control with the neighboring room being extremely loud getting in at 1 a.m. We are still giving 5 stars because the property was nice, away from the hustle, but still convenient to everything. "

If you plan to use the jacuzzi, start heating it as soon as you arrive so you can really enjoy it; same with the sauna. "The room was not clean when we got there! There was tissues on the floor by the toilet. The wall when you first walk into the bathroom was dirty! There was stains on my pillows and lots of dust! Our coffee pot cord was cut for some reason but they were very good about replacing it for us in a timely manor! The staff at the front dest when we first got there was very rude when we needed help. "
