"There’s much to be commended about this hotel. It’s a little distance from the train station and most restaurants, but it’s a beautiful spot with a good view of the lake and mountains. The breakfast is incredible. The only real issue we had (apart from fairly high price) was that the staff was pretty rude just about anytime we interacted with them in any way. We ended up just trying not to ask for anything. Otherwise it was a good stay."

"This hotel was perfect, exceptional views. It was very friendly, the rooms were super spacious and clean. They had a balcony with gorgeous views. There is a very steep hill to get to the hotel, that’s the only downside. But they do offer a bus service once you have checked in. "

"We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. "
