"The setting of this hotel is beautiful, and as long as you have a car, it’s easy to get around - we used it for a base for the Galway area. Our stay included breakfast, which was lovely. We even had it in our room one day. A few draw backs for us was: the front desk staff, who were pretty rude and unhelpful when we checked in (but we are used to American level of friendliness of service) Also how early everything closed, the kitchen closes at nine even on a weekend… I wish we had known…"

"Exceeded all expectations! So many little details met! Room was very comfortable with great mattress and bedding! Water provided at no additional charge. Car parking free. Food was EXCELLENT!!! Breakfast was gourmet and included in our booking! We also had dinner on the Blackthorn which again was fabulous and the aged prime rib, potatoes with home garlic aoli was 5 star worthy!! Way to go staff of The Twelve!"

"Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. "

"The property was very comfortable and the staff were sweet but it wasn’t really like a five star hotel. At the restaurant plates were whisked away before you barely finished eating and in the spa the tile heated chairs didn’t work and when I told the spa person she said “I’ll check!” and she never returned. I went to find her and she’d gone for the day. Lots of little things like that you’d never find at another 5 star hotel."

"This was a last minute booking so not much available in Galway. Hotel was average at best for the cost. Room decor needs an upgrade. Please note, rooms aren’t air conditioned and ours was really warm considering Galway temps didn’t get above 15 C. "

"Amazing little spot with perfect sized rooms. We were two couples travelling together and the rooms suited our needs perfectly. The staff was very accommodating and check in/out was a breeze. Cannot recommend this property enough. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer! "

"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It was very comfortable. Staff at the reception desk were helpful. The room was spacious with two comfortable bed. It was conveniently located: 20 minutes walk to the city center and 7 minutes walk to Galway Shopping center. It was 10 euros by taxi to the city center bus stop. "Everything was perfect! Location, check-in process, breakfast. Super comfortable rooms and bedding. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. They offered great suggestions for dinner and shopping options. We would definitely come back when visiting Galway! "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wildes Restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast and dinner. Just a couple of criticism, the breakfast order of eggs benedict was served on toasted sour dough which was very difficult to cut through and chew and spoiled the enjoyment of it. I believe that traditional English muffins are a better choice to serve eggs benedict on. Although the rack of lamb was beautifully cooked it still required a steak knife to cut it , but this was not provided. ...

"The decor was modern and quirky . The staff were helpful and friendly The roof top restaurant was nice inside but not much to view. However the food was brilliant and the staff were really good Rooms functional and clean. Good powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The hotel was 5-10 minutes easy walk to centre"
