Charming Nest 2BDR/2BTH - Pacific Ocean beach 800 m from this home

This cozy entire second floor unit (750 sqft) with a separate entrance is suitable for a full family to rest and enjoy. The unit has a living room, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a kitchenette (4.3 square meters). Main bedroom has a Queen bed, the second bedroom has one daybed that could be converted into two individual twin beds (67" length) and one folding sofa bed (48" x 72"). An additional sleeping place is available in the living room, a sofa bed (Double size 55"x80"). The kitchenette (4.3 square meters) has: a fridge, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, a slow cooker, a sink, and 30L 1500 Watt multifunctional toaster oven (tray 14x12 inch) with a dual warming plates cook top 900 and 500 Watt - possible to fry eggs and cook non large volume of simple food (oven & hot plate heating cannot be used simultaneously). The one sink full bathroom has a shower with a bathtub (length 56", width 27", depth 14"). A double sink full bathroom has a shower cabin. The backyard has a picnic area and a gas barbeque (two or three burners). Parking is on a driveway in front of the home (maximum 3 cars)..
This beautiful place may accommodate up 4 adults and 2-3 children (or maximum 5-6 adults). Reservation of this unit for seven persons and more is possible after an additional request and approval.
This place is surrounded by tranquil forest and backing onto a creek with easy access to Tunstall Bay Beach (800 m-8 mins by walking), Cape Rogers Curtis Beach (2.8 km), Golf Club and numerous hiking trails. It is 7-10 min by car to restaurants, cafes, sushi, a pizzeria, boutique shops at Bowen Island Village, Artisan Place and a ferry terminal. Public transportation is available - a local bus (280 route). Come to relax and listen birds in the morning and sit by the creek on the hot afternoons.

For those of you not familiar with the area, Travel to West Vancouver (20 min by a ferry from Bowen Island) and Vancouver downtown (30 min by 257 bus from a ferry terminal in West Vancouver) is a short and pretty pleasant little trip. Day-trips to the mainland all via public transportation are possible - just watch the ferry schedule for the last one to return to home. The ferry is the only option on and off the island- it is better to be there 20 minutes before the sailing even if there is no line up, and much earlier if there is a line up. North Vancouver traffic is unpredictable and sometimes it may take an hour or more to get to the ferry terminal. Ferry delays are possible, unfortunately. If you are a walk tourist, please check 280 local bus schedule for the last bus to get Charming Nest from Snug Cove (Bowen Island ferry terminal). Bowen Island doesn't have a taxi.

This short-term rental unit in a residential home is not under BC Hotel Keeper Act. The unit is under BC Short-Term Rental Accommodation Act, so unlike a hotel, this unit doesn't have 24/7 front desk, daily housekeeping staff with technical support services on site in Bowen Island, and it has home and checking out rules:

1. Removing garbage from this unit to outside garbage bins on this property, washing dishes on daily basis, and checking out is not provided. If you need these services, by having a dishwasher in this unit, please sign your contract with any cleaning company before arrival.
2. QUIET TIME for this unit is 10 pm-10 am (Sat-Sun, Stat holidays) and 10 pm-8 am (Mon-Friday) under Bowen Island Municipality Noise Control Bylaw No. 108. You can watch TV, have your activities inside and outside of this home, but it shouldn’t make loud sounds after 10 pm. No outdoor music, or loud chatter that carries across property lines during quiet hours. Fines for non-compliance with municipal bylaws up to $500 and higher penalties for repeat violations. Bylaw 108 Quiet Time starts at 10 pm, but we kindly ask our guests to minimize noise since at 9:00 pm in respect of our neighbors.
3. Please bring your slippers. We don't provide home shoes. We ask guests to leave street shoes in an entrance foyer on the first floor. Please do not wear street shoes above the first floor. If soil, sand, tree needles or leaves are on the second floor and a step, additional cleaning fee at least 50$ may be charged after checking out.
4. It is your choice how to use washrooms. Maybe it is better not to flash any hygienic items including toilet paper in a toilet and flash food scraps in a sink pipe. Bins and extra plastic bags are in the kitchenette and in both washrooms. Bowen Island doesn't have emergency plumbing service. Minimal cost to unclog a pipe will be at least 160$.
5. A bathtub in one sink bathroom is available as advertised. A bathtub in a double sink bathroom is not on a reservation listing. Please don't uncover it and don't use the bathtub.
6. If you need to dry towels or clothes, please use the drying rack.
7. Please do not use face, body, kitchen towels to clean street shows, cars, bikes and BBQ
8. Charging EV cars is not provided, EV charging station is around Bowen Island library.
9. If you will use BBQ, please close BBQ gas tank valve, remove garbage around and cover the BBQ by coverage after using. BBQ rules:
- No open fire on this property
- No charcoal BBQ on this property
- Gas BBQ is allowed
- Location of a gas BBQ mustn't be closer than 3 m to a home, a shed, or trees.
- Unit windows should be closed during BBQ cooking
10. Hammock may be provided as complimentary service. If you will use it, please check it for safety before using it and be sure it is safe for you.

11, Early checking in and late checking out is not provided.

12. Before any leaving of this unit, please TURN OFF a cook top, an oven, a kettle, a coffeemaker, a fireplace, lights, fans, water tabs, and check flash tanks – not leaking

13. Checking out, please follow these instructions:
A. Check tubs and flash tanks - not leaking, lights and electrical devices were turned off.
B. If you moved BBQ, furniture, unfold sofa beds, please move all back and fold sofa beds.
D. Gather and place used towels on side of a bathtub in a small washroom or place it on a drying rack. Please don't hang wet towels on curtain sticks.
E. Clean dishes from food scraps and place dirty dishes in a dishwasher.
F. Please remove garbage from the kitchenette, bathrooms, and rooms (garbage and recycling bins are in front of a shed on this property).
G. Lock this unit, place keys in a lock box and make checking out on time by 10:00 AM.

If this unit is not released by checking out time without allowance, Police Department will be called immediately.

If you don’t want to abide by checking out cleaning rules, please notify us before booking and we will add 155$ (taxes, AIRBNB fees are not included) to this unit price.

Unauthorized late checking out fee, extra cleaning or plumber service fees may be charged through AIRBNB Resolution Center if after your checking out:

1. Soil, sand, tree needles and leaves are on steps and on 2nd floor - $50
2. Garbage wasn’t removed from this unit into garbage bins (around a shed) - $ 30
3. Furniture was not organized as it was on your arrival - $30
4. Used towels won't gathered - $15
5. Dirty dishes won't cleaned and they weren’t placed in a dish washer - $15
6. BBQ wasn't returned at its place - $15
7. Toilet or sink pipes were clogged – at least $160
8. Unauthorized late checking out fee is 50$ for each 15 min.
