"UPON ARRIVAL YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS PRIVATE RD. SO I TURNED AROUND AND LEFT. BACKED TRACKED AND LOOKED ELSEWHERE. AFTER 30 MINUTES OF GOING DOWN OTHER ROADS, I WENT BACK AND WENT BACK TO PRIVATE RD AND WENT PASSED SIGN. THEN I SEEN ANOTHER SIGN WITH THE ADDRESS AND IT WAS NOT VERY BIG. COULD NOT SEE IT FROM THE SIGN THAT SAID PRIVATE. NORMALY WHEN YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS PRIVATE RD. YOU DON'T GO PAST IT. I SUGGEST A SIGN THAT SAYS HICKORY HIDEOUT."

"We had an incredible stay at this cabin. The cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully built, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. After a long day on the trails, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax. The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from Trail 3 at Wolf Pen Gap. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort and convenience while exploring the trails!"

"Beautiful veiw ,great room, beds were amazing. Only one thing that i saw it could do with was skid prevention on bottom of tub. It was real slick and there where no grab bars. Thats it everything else was great. The staff was amazing. Would highly recommend. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Pioneer. The Cabins were clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were close and clean. The back deck looking out over the mountain made the perfect place for us to hold worship services and Bible study. Matt was GREAT to work with and prompt on every need."

"Had a fantastic week staying in this cabin. It was stocked with everything we needed and was just the right size for us! We will definitely be booking this one again! "

"A lovely property off the beaten path. It is so relaxing and peaceful here. Clean, comfy, and has air conditioning. (Which is a must for me!) Comfortable bed and bedding. Clean and soft towels. Very little light pollution around so beautiful viewing of the stars. My husband and I also loved the covered porch/ patio. Including the area that is closed in, keeping bugs away! They have logs for the fire-pit and was a great place to relax and a quiet place for nice conversation. "

"Absolutely perfect place. We were a little hesitant about sleeping on a pullout couch, but it was extremely comfortable and really fit. The host had so many little considerations that it felt like being in your friend’s house. Extremely clean every convenience you can think of."

"Overall we had a great stay. We enjoyed nights by the campfire. View of bald eagles and deer. Kayaking the river. It was a great experience. One consideration if you are looking for a secluded stay there are multiple cabins on the property. "

"Great for family gatherings and a quiet place to recoup. My husband, mother-in-law and myself stayed a week. Plenty of room to entertain extended family for lunch and a barbecue. We will book again."
