The CoalShed has real character and was a great place to hang out with my kids and use as a base to explore all the great stuff on offer in Bristol. "Beautiful, well furnished apartment. Spotlessly clean. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the L'Occitane toiletries in bathroom. Very luxe! Great to have Nespresso Machine with pods too. So many great dining options nearby. Cool to hear students practising in the Uni Music School Building opposite the apartment. "

"Good location; friendly staff; generous-sized room; cleanliness. The interior of the hotel is new and easy to maneuver, but entrance has several sets of steps. Saw elderly people and people with mobility issues struggling to conquer the steps, especially with luggage and no hand rails. Not accessible for wheel chair users. "

"Staff is friendly. The rooms are large and clean. The location is great. If you are scent sensitive then it is hard to spend time in the main area of the hotel because they spray this strong scent which made me ill. They didn’t clean the room the first day (we stayed 4 days). The room faced the courtyard and it was loud and hard to sleep."

"A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Room exceeded expectations and we went for a balcony as the view over the Avon Gorge looking at The Suspension Bridge is stunning. A pretty faultless experience all round and highly recommended!"

"Great location, easy checkin, big enough room. Area around the hotel fairly noisy at night but glazed windows do a good job of blocking it out. Only issue was the room got very warm due to this. "

"Excellent overnight stop in Bristol Coty Centre. Courteous staff and very comfortable stay. Slight smell of drains in en-suite, but not such to spoil the overall stay. More regular teabags would have been welcome - only 2 for a double room! "

"The only downsides for us is that the shower wasn't very good (low power) and the television is mounted too high on the wall, so if we were to watch it for any period it gave us neck ache."

"What a super Hotel in the middle of the city. Very helpful on arrival. Rooms spacious and well equipped. The beds are SUPER comfy. Restaurant serves good food and fabulous breakfast choice. Parking overnight and all the next day for £20. Would highly recommend "
