Bicheno Beach House

This is a very relaxed private cottage, set on the foreshore of Waub's Bay, adjacent to the park, with only the fine white granite sand dunes separating you and the aquamarine crystal clear waters of Tasmania's East Coast.

The outlook from the cottage is always beautiful. Orange lichen covered granite rocks, brightly painted fishing boats anchored in the Bay, with Diamond Island and the 10 kilometre white sand fringe of Denison Beach backed by the Aspley Gorge Mountain range within view.Over summer fairy penguins nest in the dunes in front of the cottage.

It has a well equipped kitchen coupled with a big round table for dining. This cottage is still intimate for a couple but easily accommodates a family, even a large family.

The cottage is located only 250 metres away from the restaurants and the shops.

Amazing Beach Cottage!!!

This is our second time back at the cottage and it was just as amazing as the first time. Heather is a lovely host. The property is beautiful and at the doorstep of Waubs bay. The picnic table in the back overlooking the bay is spectacular. We will be back very soon. Thanks Heather.

Beautiful home, perfect location

It was the perfect place to spend the week as a family. Heather looked after us and made the place look amazing for our arrival. We had everything we needed and we loved the style and cosy the house was.Perfection!!

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is fabulous, walking distance to everything, especially the beautiful beach. The kitchen in the property had everything you could possibly want or need. This was really appreciated. Communication was very easy and clear.

Gorgeous coastal retreat

Prime location and gorgeous house. We saw penguins in the front garden and a whale from the dining table whilst having breakfast. Stunning walks and lovely town (highly recommend lobster shack and Le Coq. Hosts were also amazing and nice touches such as fresh eggs, fruit and chocolate.

Beautifully equipped with high quality in every respect

Warm and welcoming with many special touches and excellent furnishings, crockery, glassware, linens and fully equipped food cupboards. Fresh flower arrange -ments in every room. Lovely quiet location with great view and close to all shops etc. The main problem for us (both 84 with arthritis and balance issues) was steps between rooms and a big drop between the 2 living areas without a proper hand rail. Uneven drops from different levels of the decks outside too. However, we managed it reasonably and will very probably return, it was so nice!

Beach gem

Beautiful property and gardens with views of the water . Short walk to everything you need. Close to the beach and town . I didn’t want to leave . Fabulous owner who let us have a late check out and was a great communicator. I can’t wait to come back with my family

Traditional vertical board gem

We just loved this house, from the location ( right on the beach ) to the furnishings & layout. Loved that that the rugs were gorgeous, there were great chairs & the table & the beds were made up with quality bed linen. We also loved the thoughtful array of reading matter - great magazines, lovely kids books, interesting coffee table books & a vast collection of novels. The perfect holiday stay.

We had 3 nights here, the location doesn’t get better. Everything you need has been thought about. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. The wood fire was perfect on our one cold night. Loved the well maintained gardens & the outdoor table watching over Waubs Bay. You won’t regret booking this one.

Cute, cosy and spectacular location

We had THE best stay! The accommodation is super tidy and has lots of character. I love the boho style. We stayed as two families with small children and the house was well equipped with everything we needed, very kid friendly. Heather was beyond accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was memorable. Will definitely be booking again!

Fabulous stay at Bicheno Beach Cottage

Heather is a great host. Excellent communication. Property is so tidy and you can tell Heather goes to a lot of effort for her guests. We have stayed twice now and just love the views, the cosy feeling and the proximity to the beach.

A very unique and special holiday spot

The uniqueness of this place strikes you as soon as you drive into the driveway... you feel like you have arrived at a secret... and once you spend time there--- you wish it was a secret place so it is not booked out!!! With its position right behind the dunes at Waub's Bay, you cannot get a better spot. It is a rustic cabin, with Moroccan pillows to drag to the deck for an afternoon wiled away with a good book and looking at the view. Sublime sheets and comfortable bed. Kitchen with everything you need and a Five star BBQ. A true getaway from it all place that steals a part of your heart. We visited as a couple and would like to come back with at least one set of friends , who would be as comfortable in the second bedroom. Third bedroom is well set up if you have children with you. Many thanks for a top spot.
