Cooinda Holiday House in Berrara

Please note house is byo linen and towels and supplies. This is a great property for a budget price. Berrara is a secluded coastal village that is lucky enough to be host to some of the best swimming water and beach fishing on the south coast. There is a surf beach as well as a tidal lagoon for swimming. It is also edged by the Cudmirrah National Park, which holds an abundance of wildlife and fauna making this location a natural wonderland. Swim, surf, snorkel, fish, bush walk or on the other hand do nothing but relax in the sun. All this makes for the perfect family holiday. Bring your four legged friend too!

The House

The house itself boasts 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large veranda to enjoy those warm evenings. The property boasts a light and functional decor that makes slipping into holiday mode easy. There is easy access to deck which boast water views. Stair Banisters have been updated and include child safety gates for peace of mind when staying with small children. There is a BBQ, Outdoor Seating. The Kitchen is locatedis modern and includes a dishwasher. There is DVD- Video available as well as washing machine and dryer.

Bring your four legged Friend with you, so they can have a holiday too. House fully fenced. Outside dog is permitted Strictly no dogs inside house. Great Outside space including hammocks to unwind.

Strictly no smoking in the house.

Minimum 2 night stay throughout the year and weekly booking for holiday period.


House Set up

House sleeps 8 comfortable with 2 Living areas and plenty of seating. 2 bedrooms are located upstairs both queen beds. 3rd bedroom downstairs with queen and bunks. 4th bedroom has a queen bed and is located under main roof but external entry, which is great for privacy. Fold out lounge downstairs. Tv, dvd and video downstairs, additional tv with dvd upstairs. Beautiful veranda to enjoy that summer breeze and views of Berrara lagoon. Outside shower to wash off from the beach.

The property is a short walk from the beautiful south coast beaches, a stroll to the river and a short drive from lovely Sussex Inlet town (Sussex has a Supermarket, Movie Theatre, Cafes, Restaurants, Hotel and Clubs for your enjoyment.). For bigger shopping areas, Nowra is a half an hour drive.

You are spoilt for chocie with nature right on your doorstep with Berrara and Cudmirrah beaches, Swan Lake, and Conjola National Park. Not too far along the coast you will find Hyams beach, Huskisson and various other national gems.

Berrara is surrounded by Conjola National Park which is great for bushwalking, and Swan Lake which is also a wonderful attraction for boating, canoeing, sailboarding and water skiing.

The lovely Cudmirrah Store overlooking Swan Lake is ideal for a coffee, small purchases and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The main township of Sussex Inlet is just 5 mins away, where you will enjoy fishing, boating, golf tennis, and indoor heated pool. Sussex also has a Supermarket, Movie Theatre, Cafes, Restaurants, Hotel and Clubs for your enjoyment. Courtesy Buses available for local clubs.

Berrara is about 2.5 hours from Sydney on the beautiful NSW South Coast. Berrara is also a 2.5-3 hour drive from Canberra as well.

Our family had a wonderfull weekend. Few minutes walk to the beach, kangaroos around, big backyarr, spacious rooms and all kitchen stuff provided.

Very disappointed that the listing does not advise that you need to take your own linen. Had to borrow sets of queen sheets the day before our trip. Host said it was written when making the actual booking but i didn’t see it and it is too late anyway if you have already clicked to book (i would normally assume line is provided when renting a house). You need this critical info on the listing.We needed to clean the benches on arrival and other areas were a little dirty. One dishwashing tablet, just about empty soap dispenser and lots of cockroaches unfortunately. Yard was great for the dog and a short stroll to the lovely beach. Overall, still a good place..

This house was well equipped with everything we needed, close to the beach and clean. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. FYI: Coles does deliver to the area if you dont want to drive the 40mins to Norwa to get shopping.

There is no driveway. There is no pool/spa. Was a damp house, no baskets/bins inside. Kitchen was nice, but is upstairs. In my opinion, was not worth the money I paid. If you have pets, it's probably a good stay.

We stayed at the property 2 nights in late May and throughly enjoyed our stay. Location is awesome. Short walk to the water. Nice and quiet. The house is so well equipped. A lovely relaxing weekend. Definitely consider a return visit

A very affordable place for a get away. The place was very cozy and was closer to the beach and near by town. Got to see Kangaroos in the front yard in the neighbourhood which was an interesting site in and of itself. The area was peaceful and telaxing to be in, a great place for a great away any time of the year. There were some items that were a little dirty here and there, but wasnt such a big problem, just a quick wash or brush here and there wash all it needed. The place was also well equipped with games, entertainment, wifi, kitchen utensils and cookware. Would definitely recommend.

Great affordable holiday house, we had 2 families stay, lots of room and amenities. Overall we had a great stay, owner redponded quickly to my questions when required. Berrara and Sussex Inlet had lots to offer with Swan Lake and local beaches otherwise is good to chill out in a quiet spot surrounded by kangaroos and native birds.

The house has enough rooms to accommodate 2 families with its 4 bedrooms. 4rth bedroom is outside so whoever uses it will need to have the key to open the door going to main house if they need to use toilet at night. We only needed to use the pillowcases and mattress covers we brought as all other linens were provided. Kitchen is on the second floor. The tables were so sticky maybe due to the sea breeze as the windows were open on our arrival. Some of the blinds have moulds at the bottom. You have to bring your own toilet paper as there’s only 1 provided. There’s also no trash bins on both toilets. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and kitchen/dining has 1 electric fan. Unfortunately, it’s not enough if temperature goes above 30. The kitchen is well supplied with cutlery/crockery/baking pans/kettle. All appliances functional. Just bear in mind that if you use the washing machine, use cold setting only. We didn’t use the barbecue grill but it looked clean enough to use. Beach was few minutes walk away but the creek was more enjoyable as the water had the perfect temperature. Vodafone and Optus don’t work well here so it’s a good thing the house has wifi provided.
