"We liked the location of this hotel—it's right on campus or just across the street, making it feel safe and convenient. You’re only a couple of blocks away from fast food, Walgreens, and the bus, which was so convenient. The area feels regal and historic with beautifully manicured lawns, and everything was just as pictured. The air conditioning worked well, all the amenities were in place, and we really enjoyed the old-timey charm.
The only minor suggestion I have is about the check-in process....

"Do not stay here, the host never responded to any messages and we were unable to checkin. We were left seeking other accommodations after hotels.com took almost full payment for a months stay from us and has yet to return it because “they cannot reach the host” . This is a lot of money to be held from us unavailable to make another booking to replace this one. It has been almost 2 months and hotels.com is not responding to my emails about my refund. "

"This is the worst VRBO our family has ever stayed at. Host changed the duplex a couple of hours before our arrival. The new unit was uncleaned with some linens still wet in the washing machine. It had a room that had no light, old moldy food, cabinets without fronts, windows without coverings, a screen door ripped off, & beds that were very nasty and stained. Garbage wasn’t taken out from the last guest. They only provided 3 towels (that need to be washed) when we reserved for 6. Host absolutely...
