"Comfortable, spacious rooms. The ice bag was great! Three unavailable entree items from menu. Friendly staff with great smiles! Registration parking area was a bit confusing. All in all a great experience and a great value. "

"I loved the style of the room. It was clean and very comfortable. We were sent a code for self check in before we arrived and instructions what to do with the key on check out. We had a nice view from the room and everything we needed for our break. I would definitely recommend. It wasn't a negative for us and the manager advised us to travel light as there is no elevetator. It helped as we only took what we needed while staying there."

" Parking is limited and has no elevator so be prepared if bringing a heavy bag..the room is very clean, nice with old flare which I love. Small breakfast and very nice staff."

"We loved our stay at this hotel. Family friendly, very convenient and clean. I had 1 small note about the sliding bathroom door! We had toddlers with us and it was very hard to keep them away from playing with it. no lock or privacy while using the bathroom. Other than that everything was perfect."

"Absolutely amazing! Carly and Chase are incredible, down to earth and so welcoming! Backlands is an amazing place to disconnect yourself from the everyday. The property is gorgeous with so much to do, and take in. To waking up every morning and see Elk and deer in the fields to Unbelievable stargazing!! All of it is just so amazing, Thank You Backlands. "This is a wonderful historic property with a great history. It is nostalgic and cozy. Do not expect ultra modern, but all the amenities for a lovely stay are available. The property is well kept and serene with indoor and outdoor spaces for dining. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful when needed. I wanted to extend my stay and the hotel staff made it happen when Expedia could not. The train to the Grand Canyon is accessible with just a short walk across the walkway. I have...

"I loved the cleanliness of the property, inside and out. The rooms are utilitarian, comfortable, and have a bistro set outside every room. The proprietor was accommodating and provided great pointers for navigating around town. There is a grocery store with a Starbucks next door and is within walking distance of the Grand Canyon Railway (you can see literally see the train from the parking lot). Really happy with our stay."
