"We had 3 16 year olds, 12 and 19 year old plus my boyfriend and myself stayed here for 5 days. The train through the back yard was awesome, the beautiful river, private dock and fire pit across the street was perfect. Having the kids crossing the road was really a non issue for us since they are older. I was worried about sharing one bathroom but we made out just fine also not having a TV worried me but turned out to be great. Got us to spend time together and looking for the next thing to do....

"We enjoyed our little get away. The house was clean and didn’t smell as if pets had been there. The instructions were very helpful, especially for the driveway. It is in the woods, so bring bug spray if you want to sit out on the deck. "

"Very nice place. Cute cabin with lovely views. The fire pit are with a covered couch swing is great for evenings. If you are an early riser, there are nice sunrise views of the mountains. Enclosed property so you feel safe at night. We even dozed off one night on the swing looking at the stars. Hot tub was good and seemed well cared for. Landscaping is nice.Cabin itself was clean with updated fixtures and a good kitchen. We did see a few wasps by the deck. It appears there are some traps and the...

"Very peaceful place only 2.5 miles from Luray. Everything you need to cook a meal, a very comfortable bed, and a great view. I will most likely stay here again when I travel this way in the future. "

"Amazing hosts. Responsive! Everything was great! Lovely dreamy location right next to a serene river. Coffee in the morning and cocktails at night had an ambience like no other. Will book again!!"

"We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. "

"Love this cottage! Great place to go with your partner, the cottage provides a lot of privacy while also being very close to communal buildings on the property. My Pug loved watching the deer in the front yard! Can’t wait to make this a regular getaway for my family. "

"Very peaceful cabin immersed in nature, we had a great time. Was well stocked with firewood other essentials, which was nice. The AC did its job and kept the cabin comfortable inside during days with very high heat and humidity. Beautiful landscape lighting and retaining walls. Absolutely lovely during a rainstorm. Would recommend addressing a few minor items:‐the ramp at the top of the steps (by the screened porch) is incredibly slippery when wet, would recommend putting down some friction...

"Really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Check-in/check-out instructions were clear, communications were good, and the cabin was very clean and nice. Enjoyed local brewery and winery (thanks for the brewery recommendation!) and hiking. Would definitely stay here again."

"We had two teens, their parents, a set of grandparents, and 2 dogs. The house was versitile enough that we could find great sleeping arrangements and a variety of things to do for fun right at the house. It was awesome to have fishing spots so close. The location was great for us too; close to some touristy things but great spots to hike and bike were very close as well. The host was amazing and even though the dryer did not work in our arrival she came up with alternatives for us. Stuff...

"Everything was very clean and the views are next to none. The trek up to the cabin was absolutely breath taking also. Privacy was amazing the nature surrounding you, watching fireflies at night was one of the highlights, I haven’t seen them since I was a kid. Definitely will be back. "

"One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out."
