"This was our first visit of the property under the new name and branding. The redesigned foyer and common areas are appealing and well designed, our family room was clean and comfortable and nicely put together in terms of style. The restaurant area is less successful in terms of design and we would not rate the breakfast above average. However, five stars to the entire breakfast team (open kitchen included) for their warm hospitality. "

"An unfortunate experience of poor service in an otherwise pleasant, perfectly located hotel. 1. Reception do not pick up calls and it takes 4-attempts before they answer. 2.The room phone was broken. I advised Reception that I wanted to order Room service and tried calling with my mobile but no one picked up. I had to take my toddler out at 19:30 in search of supper. I specifically stayed in the hotel to have access to room service. 3. The room phone was never replaced / fixed. So check out...

The double room was spacious, clean, comfortable and with an amazing close view of the Winchester cathedral (practically over its grounds). "The only issue we had was when we finished our meal in the bar the plates and cutlery were not cleared from our table and were still on the table when we left the bar at the end of the evening"
