"Great location for accessing town, cathedral and walking along river itchen. Pub food and drinks were delicious! Be aware the stairs to the rooms are quite narrow and steep to climb and rooms can get quite warm if the weather is cooperating and sun is out."

There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom light switch was in a dangerous condition…arcing at the slightest touch. There never appeared to be any staff available and the buffet breakfast…well, don’t bother paying for it! You can get a fabulous breakfast at one of the many cafes available nearby!"

"Do not stay during the summer since the property as no A/C and gets extremely hot in the summer months. Also communication could be better , we had difficulty finding the location an getting in. The place is really centrally located and overall very nice, if you stay in cooler months"

"It was terrifying! I booked one of my accomplished musicians to stay after our long late evening rehearsal. When we enter the room (no staff available of course ro even speak to), we found the room had bed laid already by strangers! Later, 3 drunk guys returned to my reservation room 9, sleeping on the bed and one drunk man was on the floor!"

"Not what it seems. Had a room with a small kitchen , dirty bowls and plates left in oven which had been there for some time going by the smell. Had a "private bathroom" which was shared by the room next door. Had one night here and bailed out. Had booked to come back three weeks later but soon cancelled that."
