"Perfect location for us coming from Te Awamutu for a quick one nighter at the beach. Stayed on matariki and how winderful because the stars were very visable. As a dog friendly property we took our small doggo and he went nuts on the beach. We enjoyed it so much, thank you and we want to make a regular thing of it. "

"Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. Also close to a waterfall and black sand beach. Angus was such a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed including toast jams and coffee. "This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. "Excellent communication. Everything there. Lovely and warm. Served its purpose for our stay. A few fun games of darts were had!"

When I could break through the AI chatbot that VRBO provides for feedback the owner was responsive and helpful. When I return to this property I will seek out the owner directly and cut out VRBO. "This is a special, one of a kind place. Nestled among a sheep farm and a river. Turkeys come by in the morning. Cows are watching all day. "My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. I highly recommend going on the farm tour if you can - the tour is usually included for people staying at one of the hostess's properties, and includes the opportunity to meet sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, emus, and ostriches.
