"Checking in was rough at Hotel Riu The unfriendly clerk asked for my credit card which I didn’t have on me immediately so I went out to where my husband who was in the rental car(just got off a 6 hour flight.)He came in with me and gave his card and it was approved. "Staff is wonderful here. The hotel itself is aging and a little musty. Good: Staff was responsive and kind. Continental breakfast was awesome-- waffles, breads, cereals, and plenty of fresh fruit and protein options. Kids liked the heated pool. Not-So-Good: This is one of those places that was probably really nice about 30 years ago. Breakfast was supposed to be included, in fact I paid about $50 each. My husband and I were given a voucher for $10 for breakfast, but the cafe is expensive, the breakfast was about $70 for three, minus vouchers $10+$. By the way, they didn't give my child a voucher. "Great hotel in a great location"

"This motel has easy FREE parking, it is clean, safe, and well presented and maintained. It is extremely well positioned where walking to great hang outs is easy, and driving to great places is equally as convenient. The rooms are not huge, but large enough for a five night stay. I highly recommend the Star Motel."

"Hotel room was okay but nothing special for the price. There was some kind of event going on in the hotel and we could hear loud music, people singing karaoke and people giving speeches for several hours. Impossible to relax or sleep. Wouldn’t stay here again"

"Clean room- no!!! The hardwood floor was so dirty our feet turned black and so did the towel outside the shower door! Mirrors hung had broken frames, and the room smelled like smoke! Staff- rude! Came knocking on our room door asking what’s going on as if we had done something wrong. Said that we were stomping and yelling, which is total false. She even threatened to call the police on us. Parking- minimal. But there was some! Air conditioning- not too powerful!"
