"The hotel was perfect and appreciate the upgrade. Wish I had booked 2 nights. Had brunch at the lobby bar but they never placed my order. Finally one attendant sorted it all out when he found out, and in the end didn’t charge me for the meal. Kind of a downer because there’s a lot of spots that people can dine at so more attention needed for training here and having staff that care because your houseguests give you priority over the neighboring eateries. "Whenever I visit town, Rydges is always my first choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding and pillows are excellent, and the location is fantastic. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful — polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, this stay was a little disappointing. I was given an accessible room that wasn’t suited to my needs, and I didn’t want to take a room that someone else might genuinely need. I wasn't aware I had this room...

"This hotel is a real vibe - from the rooftop pool, to the Friday afternoon happy hour at the rooftop bar. The location is primo - right behind Howard Smith Wharves where there are plenty of dining and drinking options. Also close to Fortitude Valley and CBD - both in walking distance. The only thing I didn’t like was not enough lighting in the bathroom for makeup application. It’s very annoying when bathrooms are designed for form over function."

"The room was pretty spacious, and all facilities were in good condition. The bed was comfortable, shower and water pressure were great and aircon was cold so for the short stay it all stacked up very well. The parking is a bit of a mission but once you are in once it became easier, very tight driving around in it and car park spaces seemed tight also. For a one night stay it wasn't a problem though. Bit of small inconvenience to need the key fob to get to basement, but then have to park and drop...

"Not in the prettiest area of Brisbane, but so close to its airport it is an excellent option when taking an early flight, so it was the second time I booked it for this reason + the parking + the modern decoration + the same nice and helpful girl at the reception! In addition to the Kingsford's there are also a couple of good breakfast restaurants a block away, which I couldn't go to this time. The nearby gas station to fill the tank of a rental car is also a welcome addition..."
