"A very unique property with very helpful staff and a charming vibe. They stored a bag for me while I met friends to sail for 8 days, and it was waiting for me in my room when I returned. Great breakfast. Easy walk to a train station, close to the main tourist area but not in the middle of it. Highly recommended. "

"Convenient location for tourists. Breakfast was nice and the seating area was lovely. Nice enough and quiet in our room for being in a busy area. Strange balcony in the middle of our room however it may just be due to the building shape. "

"I went to Sicily to visit Palermo, Catania, Corleone and climb up to the Etna. I wanted to book only one hotel room in Palermo. Hotel Cortese is in the downtown and you can get a feeling about "real" Palermo. A family runs a hotel and they are very very friendly even if they do not speak English. But do not worrie won't be any language problem :) I rented a car to go away after I explored Palermo. They gave me a garage which was very cheap. "We had an excellent stay! The hotel is very centrally located, which made it easy to explore the city. Emiliano went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—he personally greeted us on Sunday when we arrived, even though it was outside regular hours. What truly touched us was his kindness the morning we left: we had to head to the airport at 4:30 AM, and he showed up to help with our luggage and ensure the taxi arrived on time. His care and dedication made a real difference in our experience."

"The rooms are well decorated, modern, clean and tidy. Located on the 1st floor (no lift though but that's common in the old buildings) in the heart or the old town. I'd definitely stay here again. Marina was super friendly, she gave us a tourist map and circled the places to visit. Also, the tourist information center is across the road so that was a great benefit."
