Fleurieu Eco Escape - Luxurious, Stylish, Cosy and Clean Hideaway

Feel your stresses melting away as you arrive into our unique village. As soon as you arrive at your north facing Fleurieu Eco Escape, you will start to smile and relax. Walk up your own path through the beautiful garden into your haven.

The super comfortable queen size bed has high quality sheets and a king size duvet to snuggle under. Lots of thoughtful extras will make your life easier and your stay so much more enjoyable. You will find electric blankets, bedside lights and chocolates on your pillow plus more! You’ll love our breakfast provisions that are provided to cover the first few days of your visit. These include 3 types of milk (cow, oat and almond), eggs from our own chickens and jam. We have a Nespresso pod machine and a plunger; we understand how important good coffee is! Gluten Free crunchy granola, Carmens Porridge, cornflakes, Weetbix and hot chocolate are also offered.

We built this place using passive solar design; windows, walls, floors and shading are designed to collect, store, reflect, and distribute solar energy, in the form of heat in the winter and reject solar heat in the summer to make it more comfortable to live in whilst using less energy. Hot water and power all come from the sun and we have rainwater (fully filtered). Your room is north facing and has lots of thermal mass from handmade earth bricks and sandstone floor tiles; these help to regulate the temperature without using energy; ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioning are available.

Please note that whilst you have a separate path and entrance, you share an internal wall with our family home; this is not a stand alone property and some daily living noises may be heard at times during the day.

Wander though our stunning, sleepy village; marvel at the many different styles of houses and gardens and, throughout your stay and enjoy the different birds. Strongly No smoking - extra $500 cleaning fee will be charged if you do; sadly we have been burned in the past

Jacqui made us feel welcome, spending time with us sharing her enthusiasm about the location in answer to our queries. Comfortable bed. A great range of breakfast foods and general pantry items. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun with our breakfast, enjoying the garden and birdlife.

Convenient and quiet

The accommodation was as advertised. The complimentary Dukkah was amazing and the room and bathroom were modern, clean and well presented. Little touches from communication with the host, the quality of breakfast yet total privacy were welcome. So convenient to a bike track into Aldiga Village and shops and the beach but the eco village itself seems a little world of its own and a pleasure to walk around. Very good value. No TV but the wifi was excellent.

Quiet and serene

Upon arriving to Fleurieu Eco Escape, you're immediately met with an escape from ordinary living, children playing in the streets, the beautiful chirping of local birds and humming of bees. Just outside your stay is a beautiful garden covering your private room. Be aware there are a lot of bees doing what they do best, but my partner and I sat outside for hours and didnt so much as have one land on us. Inside is a very clean and tidy studio room with large windows, full kitchen amenities, bathrobes and a display of treats left by Jacqui the owner. Clear intention was made to make this place comfortable and welcoming. The whole village is wonderful to walk through, neighbours are friendly and welcoming, and all things are local there including recycled rainwater. The local beach is vast and great for relaxing, you can walk there but allow a good 30 mins back and forward, or a quick 3-4 min drive with plenty of parking. Expect Jacqui to be very attentive, she was willing to go the extra mile. Be sure to check out the local brewery, and depending on the time of year Willunga does some great markets and festivals. Supermarkets, petrol and other amenities are super close. Or just sit outside by the beautiful garden and enjoy the birds and read a book. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return to the eco-village Thanks again Jacqui private rooms.

Best three days ever

We absolutely adored our stay ! Very clean and very well equipped. The extra touches Jacqui provided made our stay even more special. Would definitely come back again- highly recommended. A little piece of paradise that’s for sure. The serenity and beautiful garden certainly made us feel relaxed yet we only a few minutes walk away from everything we wanted. The property was very stylish and clean. We had a quiet and relaxing time at the villa for two nights. The owner was very responsive and left for us freshly baked bread, good quality fresh eggs and home made jam and dukkah which were really delicious. There were plenty of cereal and condiments for our breakfast too. We really liked the pod coffee machine which made great coffee to complement our breakfast. We would love to come back the villa again if we will stay in Aldinga.

Something different

Wow, it amazed us about the property and the community. The property is in an eco-village, everything is recycled, quiet, and beautiful. The owner dropped by and we had a lovely chat, very friendly and so much thought went into this property. It is close to the beach and the wineries. We have been telling our friends about this property. Enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly.
