"Lovely little hotel, great host, very friendly, clean and comfortable room, we chose this hotel because it was Pet Friendly and it didn’t disappoint, the only negative is no evening meals, but you can drive into Lanark 4 miles away where there’s a great choice, there’s also a small supermarket opposite. Apart from that we had a great stay and would definitely use again"

"We arrived late and Night Porter was very accommodating Food was first class Rooms were spacious- a couple of niggles with the water temperature and the rooms weren’t soundproofed so we could hear people walking up and down in the corridor Apart from that - I’d recommend and would stay again"

"I stayed for one night before a wedding nearby. I had a warm welcome and the room was lovely! Spotless and modern with a view over the street. Secondary glazing meant I heard nothing and slept for 9 hours! The bathroom was brand new by the looks of things too. The Eggs Benedict was lovely too. I’d definitely stay again when I’m back down this way. "

"We visited Sanquhar for a short break and chose to stay at the Nithsdale Hotel for two nights, having previously stopped in for a meal. Our stay fully lived up to expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and we were impressed by the restaurant. We also felt very welcomed at the bar, which even has its own separate pool table—a nice touch. Our ground-floor room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a cozy bed and en-suite facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable. "
