"I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel as a whole. I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was, for the price point. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and had extra pillows on hand (a must for a pillow goblin like me!), and the whole experience was a great start to our trip to Scotland. The restaurant was also fantastic, with great food and lovely wait staff. I give this place 10/10 stars."

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on our first few nights in Edinburgh. Check in was smooth, early check in was available. we were also able to leave our bags there before check in and walked around the city. The employees were so helpful and accommodating. Close location to restaurants, tram, site seeing. Room was clean and beautiful. Loved our stay here and recommend to all! "

"Belford was my first night in Edinburgh and it was super chill. An easy walk from Haymarket station, the 24/7 check-in was really nice. I had a lovely private room (only 4 of those, so book early!) and the staff were super friendly and kind. It was a chill, well-stocked place right besides Dean Village and not far from West End and their nice bars and cafes. "

"There is a parking lot onsite and on the street beside the hotel. Staff were very friendly. The place is run down but it is clear attempts are being made to improve things. One thing was the pump for the water was loud so be wary if you need a drink or a pee cuz that pump is gonna let everyone know you are up! "

"Very interesting older building. Quite a few stairs to bring luggage up to 3rd floor. First room was an attic room but it was quite big enough. Staff were obliging when I requested a room on a lower floor when i came back for a second stay. I also got breakfast included on second stay. It was lovely full Scottish breakfast too. Beds were comfortable & rooms were clean. "
