"We loved our ski holiday at Hotel Takimoto. The all inclusive plan was great - so much included. Meals and drinks were great and plentiful, rooms were comfy, skis and boots were good quality, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent central location with easy access to the extensive Shiga Kogen ski area. A bonus was being able to ski back to the front door. Rooms were a little warm as we had to keep them shut to deter monkeys. Would suggest a portable fan be...

"Room was massive, double the size of any room we have stayed in in Japan. Pillows had both Western and traditional Japan options. Fiona was encompassed in a fitted sheet (never seen this before) but kept us all warm even when it was sub 0 outside. "We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. "
