"We had a 2 night stay and it was not what I read on the reviews we got changed to 3 different rooms throughout our stay got woken up to room flooded with water from the AC unit, the pool water was hot like a hot tub would be also the hot tub didn’t work they had leaks throughout the hotel also have a mildew smell in the rooms because of leaks and what not the beds was not comfortable mattress are worn down, but other than that the front staff was great and helpful as much as possible"

"The staff were excellent, but there’s only so much they can do with a property that desperately needs serious investment. Water leaking from the room above mine into my room, dirty appliances in the kitchen, no soap or anything stocked and a general old crusty hotel feel. Marriott can do better. I’d pass on staying here again."

Had to request room turnover on 3rd day and response was, “we only have two people so we’ll try.” Only had one elevator during the first day of our stay. The breakfast was basic at best. Only marginally better than a continental. It’s cheap which is the best thing about it. One ice machine for the whole hotel?? Ridiculous."

When we arrived to our room it looked clean at first, but as we were getting unpacked it was discovered that things were not clean and felt/looked gross. "We have stayed at the Cook for camp five summers now. This is the first time I saw service levels lowered. The staff are great but this year we didn’t have room cleaning, towel service or trash removed for the four nights we stayed. Also, I have noticed the breakfast menu hasn’t changed in five years and can get a little boring.
