"We were looking to spend a few days around Christmas in a house together as a family close to Wythville. This location was perfect for us, and we were able to have a festive holiday together! A huge bonus was being able to bring pets. The house had just about everything we needed, but I think there could be a few more toiletries and basic necessities included (like cling-wrap, ziplock baggies, etc). "The two days we went to Fries it was cold and rained constantly, so there wasn't any hiking and such. The house is lovingly remodeled and updated (and cozy!), so it wasn't a hardship staying in. "The house was in a nice location on a quiet street. Walking distance to a beautiful park along the river. Very close to the New River Trail (though temporary closures forced us to access the trail in other locations). Check the state park website for updates if you’re biking. As others have said, the upstairs bathroom was pretty tight, but the bedrooms and living areas were spacious. We enjoyed the porches and pretty backyard."

"We enjoyed our stay here. Nice big kitchen area, TVs in every room which the kids enjoyed. Hot tub was in a great spot where you could look out over the lake while we stayed warm in the 40degree weather :) The driveway is quite steep and short so keep that in mind as you approach it for the first time."
