"Bad breakfast. Out of coffee regularly. Ice macine broken. People were smoking in building- wouldn't stay there again for that reason alone"

"Great breakfast, helpful staff looking at ingredients in breakfast items, if your vegan they have a great oatmeal bar with 8 different toppings and oatmilk for cereal. They also had non vegan options like bacon, sausage, and pour batter to make fresh waffles. Small pool but no one was in it so it was nice to have the pool to ourself. Rooms where basic but had mini frig and microwave"

"The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very well stocked very clean. The pet area was well maintained and easily accessible. The breakfast was well stocked and had two attendants to make sure things were cleaned up and well stocked. Breakfast was very good. All the staff was very friendly."

"Everything was great. Our family had a great stay. The one aspect that gave us pause was there’s a barn/sliding door for the bathroom. Having a door that closed would have been preferable. =0)"

"We stayed here one year ago and all was good but on this trip we were given a room with a foul odor that smelled like wet carpet. The towels and wash cloths still looked dirty and the TV didn’t work. Thankfully there was other rooms available and the staff was more than helpful to give us another room. The only other issue was that the breakfast was not good at all and food that should have been kept warm was cold. We probably will not be back to this location again."

"Great place to stay"

"As always, the Lake Lure Inn was a delight. They used to have continental breakfast but weren’t offering during this stay. Always enjoyed the continental breakfast and it added value to the many stays there. We look forward to its return. In its absence we thoroughly enjoyed delicious breakfasts at a fairly new restaurant called The 828."

"A bit dated, but overall clean. A bit of finess cleaning wouldn’t hurt….baseboards and floor tile edges….. I’m picking a bit. Parking great, breakfast just ok"

"Loved our stay my only complaint is the parking - It’s either $50 a day for valet or $30 a day for self parking that turns over at 5a so you’re paying for at minimum 2 days. Also getting to the parking with luggage is a nightmare"
