"The hotel and the pub are very tired and in desperate need of rlc and upgrade/refurb. Stains on everything from floors to ceiling. Chairs in the room and the bar that should be in the bin. The cleaners do a great job but the whole place needs dealing with. Green King you are better than this. "

"Well cleaned and maintained hotel, lovely staff. Lovely bathroom and bedroom was stocked with amenities like hairdryer, iron. But no mini fridge?! Unusual. Also, no AC in the rooms made sleeping at night impossible in this heatwave, it was a sauna in there. A fan was provided but didnt make much difference. At least provide portable AC/ powerful fans."

"I spent two nights at The Bear Hotel. The room was small but functional; however, the furniture was very tired and badly worn. The paint was peeling and stained in places, as though an old leak had never been properly repaired. The bathroom had also seen better days. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout my stay.
