Good hotel and value for the money. Staff extremely helpful. Positive to have a quaint restaurant and bar area serving good food. Large bed. Bathroom smallish and needs some renovation / maintenance. Perfect location for access to the M3

Very reasonably priced hotel between Winchester and Basingstoke. Rural location on the main road with a large free car park. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful throughout my stay. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The hotel is attached to a good sized pub with garden that has a good range of drinks and an extensive menu. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive and eager to fulfill any request. A nice, very reasonably priced hotel I will certainly use again.

Good for the price and a convenient stop off. Hotel is tired and dated, very little sound proofing from the restaurant hustle and bustle. Simple no frills.

This was a lovely old property. The staff were welcoming, and friendly. The room was a little tired, but had everything I needed for my stay. The shower was over the bath, not a problem for me, but could be for someone else. The bath had bits of fluff in, so not the cleanest, on the whole though, the room, and amenities were clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The restaurant is in the pub/bar, such a beautiful old place, with lots of characteristics, a pleasant atmosphere. There was plenty of parking too. I would definitely look at staying at this lovely place when I next visit.

Staff were friendly. Room was fine for a night stay but in need of a bit of tlc in terms of paint touch ups, new bedding and refreshing the grout in the shower.

The room was fine. It was a little noisy in the early evening, as it overlooked the garden, but it was perfectly quiet later on. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant, but it felt that they were somehow lacking in leadership.

Heerlijke authentieke plek om te overnachten. Vriendelijk personeel en een heerlijk ontbijt. Tip is wel om de “waterdruk” op de wc te vergroten, doortrekken ging moeizaam. Maar verder… heerlijk.

Nice welcome, even though very late arrival. Room spacious, comfortable and had a great sleep but decor could do with a refresh, especially in en-suite ( which was nice and big, with bath). Breakfast: great value. Donna very helpful, professional and friendly. Lovely stay. Would definitely stay again when travelling on this route. Big Sainsbury's nearby, with petrol station. Hotel only just over ½ an hour from ferry terminal.

Useful location but very close to the A30. Nice hotel/former coaching Inn with friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though.
