Patrolman Chris Logsdon was killed in a vehicle accident after being run off the road by another driver. He was responding to a call of the drunk driver on Interstate 25 north of Wheatland. When he arrived on the scene the suspect vehicle was driving towards him on the wrong side of the road. Patrolman Logsdon swerved to avoid an accident, causing his Camaro police cruiser to flip several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect turned out to not being a drunk driver, but rather a 92-year-old man who was confused. Patrolman Logsdon is survived by his wife and four children.

we have stayed at this hotel since it opened. It is the place to stay when we gather in Wheatland. The staff are great, the breakfast is great, the rooms are always clean. The kids and grandkids enjoy the pool and hot tub. The atmosphere feels like home to us
