While the host is wonderful and responsive and property's description is accurate and photos are accurate, and everything worked, there were quite a few disappointing moments. The house is quite run down, with blinds partially broken and very hard to operate. Bunk beds were very uncomfortable even for my little kids, so they ended up sleeping with me, not my dream vacation. There were only bath towels, and none hand or face sized ones. Back porches seemed to have not been dusted in ages, so we had to clean before sitting anywhere or putting a plate down. The pool is operational, but we've been spoiled by a cleaning robot at other rentals, and didn't expect to skim leaves off before every swim. Aloe plants by the pool were too close to edges, so we got poked quite a few times. There are broken tiles around the pool, not dangerous but unsightly. Also, back vegetation is sparse, so neighbors can be seen and see you. There's a golden retriever that looked on and barked at us.Shower pressure is too high, so you'd be ankle deep in water while taking even short showers. There's one door key that is in a combination lock, also not very modern or convenient. The neighborhood didn't feel like it warranted the high rental price. There are rundown houses in the area, with skimp landscaping, some appearing abandoned. So walking around didn't feel safe or pleasant.So again, while everything worked and nothing was lacking, somehow the place didn't feel top notch.
