Breakfast was included in the price. Very friendly staff, nice surroundings. Town centre in walking distance. Would highly recommend this place. "

"Lovely pub and restaurant. Room lovely and clean but didn't need a disabled bathroom and extra lighting that was bright in room at night. Large family group staying next to us, who had early morning meeting in hallway and no soft closing doors so quite noisy. Staff excellent. "

"Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey."

"Lovely well appointed room. Clean and well maintained. The wifi was good and the TV was easy to connect to my phone so i could stream prime movies. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The room and bedding was super clean. Breakfast was great and the staff were all very nice. Parking is easy and free. couldn't reall find anything to fault. Would not hesitate to come back."

"We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was full of character being a Listed Building and The Manager, Tony, gave us a wonderful guided tour of all 15 the bedrooms and the spa in the cellar (which was beautiful). Dinner was absolutely amazing - plus one of the best Full English breakfasts I've ever tasted. The bed was super-comfortable and the bedroom was huge, spacious and beautifully decorated - no two bedrooms were the same - which added to the charm of the hotel. Lovely lounge and fantastic bar...

"Lovely pub/restaurant/hotel, which has successfully blended the old with the new. Staff service excellent. Food tasty and well presented. Dog friendly. Nearby footpaths and country parks close by and immediate area is nice to explore. One small negative - stable room bathroom needs a bit of a refresh."
