"Had a great stay. Alison was a gracious host. She made reservations for us to eat dinner at a tasty restaurant nearby after we arrived late in the evening for our check in. And she even woke up early to have breakfast ready for us as we needed to head out early for the next part of our trip, even though we assured her we could just go without. Our room was clean and comfortable for our family of four. Definitely recommend. "

"Arrived at the hotel, which to their credit allowed us to check in early as we had to get to a wedding before their usual check-in time. Unfortunately the room was absolutely freezing - we thought the heating might be off, but it was actually on. As we were in a rush we turned the heater up and left for the day. "We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. "Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t.
