Spacious bedroom
The accommodation consists of a spacious room with a luxurious double box-spring bed, a sitting area with a television, and a dining area. There is also a spacious wooden closet for your clothes.

Kitchen
Separate, spacious kitchen with microwave, induction cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, hot water dispenser, and coffee maker. At the bar table, you can enjoy your first cup of tea or coffee upon arrival.

Through the charming stable windows, you can see the garden and the natural landscape beyond. Through the French doors, you look out onto the terrace and, in the distance, see the stately Bosch en Vaart country house. You can see the storks sitting on their nests, and you can also take a walk on the estate.

Use of bedding is included. A bath towel set (7 euros per person) can be ordered as an optional extra from the host.

Hiking and biking opportunities

You can take a beautiful walk through the Bosch en Vaart estate in any season. And walking past the lock on the Noord-Willemskanaal, you’ll find yourself in the Drentsche Aa National Park, passing the stunning buildings of the former Philadelphia Colony. The reflection in the water of the Noord-Willems Canal offers a stunning view of the buildings on the Bosch en Vaart estate. Walk another 100 meters, and you’ll arrive at the De Bron Sauna and Beauty Center. Would you rather enjoy the deer, the animals at the watering hole, and the beautiful nature of the Hondstongen? Then walk from your lodging through the adjacent nature area of the Bosch en Vaart estate to the sandy path on Verlengde Kerkweg. From here, there are various routes through the wooded embankments past the monument to the Girl of Yde into the Hondstongen. You’ll then walk through the “tongue area” of the Hondsrug. Information signs from the Drentsche Landschap provide details about the area. You can follow a route marked by posts. From the guesthouse, there are hiking trails through the Hondstongen nature reserve, past the “Girl of Yde,” across the Bosch en Vaart estate, and past Kolonie Filadelphia into the Drentsche Aa National Park. You can easily plan a fun route from the cycling or hiking junction. There are also various mountain bike trails. You can use the Leemdobben swimming pool (approx. 2 km away) and Sauna de Bron, located within walking distance, at a discounted rate. For sports activities and to rent virtually any type of bike, a unique scooter, or sub-steps, visit MV-Moves. We’d be happy to give you tips during your stay.

Activities nearby

By bike, you can explore the beautiful Drentsche Aa National Landscape, the Hondstongen, or the Onlanden nature reserve. Or cycle to Lake Paterswold or Lake Zuidlaardermeer. Enjoy the beach at Hoornseplas or the terrace of one of the pavilions. There are several estates a short distance from Eelde, all well worth a visit for a lovely walk. A visit to the De Braak Estate and the adjacent Friesche Veen is a must if you enjoy a varied walk through nature. The 5-km walk at the Lemferdinge Estate in Eelde is also well worth it. A walk through the Gasterse Dunes and the Balloërveld is also a must for nature lovers. The Pieterpad trail passes through here.
